{"id":716,"date":"2026-07-24T15:53:37","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T20:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kansascityoa.org\/?page_id=716"},"modified":"2026-07-24T15:56:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T20:56:21","slug":"the-promises","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kansascityoa.org\/?page_id=716","title":{"rendered":"The Promises"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed<br>before we are half way through.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience<br>can benefit others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-seeking will slip away.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for<br>ourselves.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us \u2013<br>sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.
