Kansas City Overeaters Anonymous
Welcome
Overeaters Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women from all walks of
life who meet in order to help solve a common problem—compulsive
overeating.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop eating
compulsively.  OA is a non-profit international organization that provides
volunteer support groups worldwide.  Patterned after the Twelve-Step
Alcoholics Anonymous program, the OA recovery program addresses the
physical, emotional and spiritual recovery aspects of compulsive overeating.

                              2011 Statement on Abstinence and Recovery
Abstinence in Overeaters Anonymous is the action of refraining from compulsive eating and compulsive food
behaviors while working towards or maintaining a healthy body weight.

Spiritual, emotional and physical recovery is the result of living the Overeaters Anonymous Twelve-Step program.
